Laris Insurance Agency LLC has held a strong and constantly growing presence since its inception in South Louisiana in 1939. We continue to uphold the values instilled by our founder, Sidney J. Laris: hard work, dedication, fairness and personal service. These values were passed on to and upheld by his successor and son, Rudy Laris, Sr., and continue on through the leadership of his sons as current owners. Our main office is located in Lockport with satellite offices in Metairie, Houma, and New Iberia. Laris’ local ownership gives us a unique perspective with which to evaluate and address the complex interactions of the insurance business, diverse industry sectors and the economic climate nationwide.

We have an exclusive membership with ARMS, which is an insurance association that provides our customers with access to many of the largest insurance companies in the world.

 Laris Team


Laris Insurance Agency, LLC has a staff comprised of over fifty dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced insurance professionals. The agency is owned by two members of the Laris family, Ross Laris and his brother Rudy Laris, Jr. Ross and Rudy Jr. are producers primarily active in commercial sales. They also oversee marketing relations with the numerous insurance companies which Laris Insurance Agency LLC represents.


In addition to Ross Laris and Rudy Laris, Jr., their father, Rudy Laris, Sr., continues to be a producer for the agency’s growing volume of business. They, along with a sales force of seventeen additional producers at four locations service our client’s needs. They are Clyde Hartman, Philip Hadaway, Brian Desselles, Rudy Laris III, Holden Laris, and Robert Boudreaux in the Lockport office, and Shawn Lebeouf, Blaine Vedros, Carol Stretch, Lena Haydel, Tate Zyroll and Mitch Pertuit in the Houma office. Brian Bordlee, Craig Cook, Lloyd Falgout, III and Jack Young are in the Metairie office. Craig Romero and Hannah Romero are also sales agents working in our New Iberia office.


The commercial lines department is comprised of a friendly and professional staff of nearly thirty. Together they have accumulated an unprecedented number of years of insurance knowledge and experience. Regardless of how big or small the business, our team will provide impeccable service and ensure that both comprehensive and economical packages are placed. The commercial team, along with the entire staff, prides itself in providing big agency service with a small agency’s attention to personalization and detail. 


The commercial lines department also includes marketing relations manager Claude Richardel. Letia Clement and Heidi Arceneaux, whose primary responsibility is marketing for new business customers are dedicated to servicing the needs of prospective commercial clients. They consult with them to gather vital information concerning their businesses. By getting to know the client and their business operations, they hope to convince them to become long-term clients of Laris Insurance by providing an exceptional insurance coverage program with excellent price economics. The new business marketing team utilizes a vast network of top rated insurance companies and brokers throughout the world. Through these companies Laris Insurance strives to acquire insurance coverage that is best suited for each individual client.


Sonny Breaux and David Moran, both licensed claims adjusters, along with Brenda Bowman in the Houma office, are also members of our commercial department. With a specific role dedicated to benefit our clients, their duties are to guide and advise our clients through all aspects of the process should they be involved in a claim. Our claims team can assist in the claims reporting process and advise during the adjusting and settlement phases.  


Our agency has a full service department that provides personal insurance to satisfy all of our clients' needs. Becky Fayette, Kim Dupree and Jovanna Pillot are the personal lines account managers. They assist the agency’s existing clients in all aspects of their personal insurance, such as Auto, Home, Flood, Mobile Home, RV, Motorcycle, Boat, and Umbrella. They consult with major insurance companies such as Progressive, Unitrin/Kemper, La. Citizens, and Lighthouse to obtain the most coverage at the best price. Maggie Melancon assists with the needs of new prospective clients.


Tate Zyroll is the sales agent for all Life, Health and Benefits insurance. With access to many major insurance carriers, Tate, along with benefits team of Kimberly Hahn and Meredith Ramsey, can provide businesses with the most comprehensive and economical group health insurance plans for their employees and their families. Policies are also available for individual life, hospitalization, dental, vision, Medicare supplements, and prescription drug coverage. Mitchel Pertuit serves as the Group Planning Consultant for all locations. Philip Hadaway is the senior sales agent for all policies and coverages for Life and Health insurance in the Lockport office. Philip has a vast knowledge in the field with which to help customers understand the important facts needed to purchase the right individual life or health insurance policy to fit their needs and budget. Philip will utilize his over 30 years of experience and his close working relationships with companies such as Humana and Blue Cross.


Our accounting department is managed by April Laris, who oversees company payables and receivables along with her assistant, Monica Poole. Sally Juneau is also a member of the accounting department handling vendor payables, as well as human resources. Mark Theriot serves as our in-house I.T. manager. He coordinates the operations of the agency’s state of the art agency management system which is used to maintain all client information and account billing information. Customer data is stored in an out-of-state secured data facility.


Paula Breaux is the main receptionist at Laris Agency. It is Paula’s cheerful voice that will first greet you when you contact our primary office in Lockport. After determining which of our staff can best satisfy your needs, she will gladly connect your call to our Metairie, Houma, or New Iberia office as needed.
